I did an interview in Celebrity Parents Pagazine. In addition to my art I also talk about being an artist and a dad. The caricature posted here is one I did for the EIC of the magazine. You can read the interview here.
Right now I’m doing less events because I’m drawing daily at the http://illuminationaz.com event. This was a fun caricature by an incredibly good sport. This I think so far has been the zaniest sketch I’ve done so far this season. When a man asks to be a mermaid, you make him a mermaid.
For a guy who’s known for drawing sexy, I haven’t drawn any sexy caricatures in a short while. Luckily, this image changed that. The caricaturee here has long hair and she considered a mermaid or Rapunzel type theme. I considered Rapunzel because her hair is blonde but I thought the mermaid scene could be more […]
This was a fun one! I’m not a huge fan of DC Comics’ characters but I love Batman. It was fun doing this for a true Batman fan! I wish I could take credit for these ideas but the client had all three of these in her mind. I thought she did a great job.
I have some friends and clients who are around me drawing all the time but yet I’ve never drawn them. Nick and Dana here from N2 Publishing are in that group. After several events I FINALLY got to draw them both! It was football Saturday so I decided to go with a football theme. […]
This was a caricature I did at the VCA holiday show.
Being the Draw Me Sexy guy, I’m constantly thrilled by the task of drawing women sexy. So imagine my surprise when five beautiful women walk up and ask me to make butterflies the focus of a picture–and not the girls. Hmmmm… This one took me a minute to wrap my brain around. I decided to […]
Someone read my business card last week and asked me what does being a, “caricaturing pinup artist mean?” In a nut shell pinup artists exaggerate to make people (usually women) more beautiful. If you look at this painting by famed pinup artist Gil Elvgren, you can see some of the changes he made. This model […]
I love the ’70s but the ’80s are more nastalgic for me. Me and NDK DJ did a fun ’80s party last weekend. Everyone was in costume so there were many great pictures to be had.
This was a drawing I did a few years ago. At the time my Blackberry was slowly dying everyday and barely worked but I I was holding out on buying a new phone because Verizon was going to start selling iPhones. The waiting drove me crazy! Hence, how this sketch came to be.
